These all ages tales from the DC Universe, beautifully written and illustrated by Art Baltazar and Franco, will entertain new readers and seasoned fans of comics.

Tiny Titans Vol 1 Welcome to the Treehouse eBook ART BALTAZAR FRANCO

I bought this for my 5yo who watches Teen Titans at his grandmothers and is starting to love comics. It ...is so stupid. The stories have no point and just end abruptly? It literally makes no sense. Great illustrations, just no storylines. Plus, some of it is “you’re stupid” “idiot” talk and I’m just not a fan.

Tiny Titans Vol 1 Welcome to the Treehouse eBook ART BALTAZAR FRANCO Reviews

Without any storyline, full of sexist cliches, really a dumb book. AND expensive. Get Zeta instead, or even GMan. This series isn't even funny.
I bought this comic as a birthday present for my 10-year old nephew so I'm well aware I'm not the intended target audience. Nonetheless, I thought the artwork was cute so I took a crack at reading it before I wrapped it up.

The premises is about the sidekicks of DC superheroes as little children. I'm not very familiar with DC's lineup so there are a lot of jokes I probably missed not knowing a lot about the characters. And some of the jokes are, well...not that sophisticated. Still, it's target audience is probably preteens and younger and I think my preteen nephews have pretty basic humor so I imagine its target audience would probably find the jokes hilarious. The comic comprises of little stories, most of which don't really link up to each other. But I imagine that's fine since I doubt little kids are ready for major story-arcs. Each story is only about 2-4 pages long so I imagine it's great for kids with no attention span.

The artwork, again, is very cute and it's a nice introduction to comic book for young children. The pages are flimsier than most comic books intended for adults. But the colors are vibrant and the binding looks nice. I'll have to check with my nephew to see what he thinks of it the next time I see him.
My 6 year old girl loves it. It was a great way to open the door to reading more. I think she might have thought reading was just some boring thing she had to do for school, but she brings this comic book in the car and in and around the house. She's now just reading stuff we have at the house (the "readers") for fun. We tried other comic books, but the humor was too adult. Now, I've got to read up on super heroes (not a bad thing). I'm getting asked questions like, "Who is Beast Boy's mommy?" LOL. Too fun.
love reading this to my 6 year old at night before bed. The books are divided up into little short stories of about 2-5 pages. make is great before bed. He is starting to read in school so he fallows along and reads it a little also. I just wish the print was a little bigger to make it easier to read but not a big deal though.
My 6 year old LOVES this book! I purchased it bc the kids love to read, and we are a comic book kind of family as well, but I wanted my little one to get into reading like the rest of us. I picked this one because he loves Teen Titans and thought he might like this one bc they were based around the same age as him. I got this package yesterday, and he read it in ONE NIGHT!!! My SIX year old!! This humorous book makes my whole heart smile and I will be collecting this series for him now! I am one happy mamma!!!
I always keep a couple copies of Tiny Titans in the house to give away as birthday presents. I also did a presentation for my daughter's class about comic books and brought this along (as well as several other volumes) and the kids loved them. They were already familiar with the Teen Titans on TV, and were excited to see that they were in this book. It's a great way to get in some reading minutes, but have fun doing so. Art Baltazar's (and Franco's) art and story are whimsical and fun, and it's a great first comic book for kids. I've been following Art and Franco's stuff since the Patrick the Wolf Boy days and couldn't be happier that these books have been so successful for them.
My 6-year-old loves Art Balthazar'a work (and we love it for him). We've purchased all of his Action Cat, Tiny Titans, and Super Powers books, as well as The Mask. The illustrations are really well done and the writing is humorous. Our son is in first grade, and is at about a level 3 reading level. These books are written at a higher level (not sure what that would be), so we help him with some of the words. He's so engaged and enjoys reading them so much however that he has real incentive to sound out most words that he doesn't know on his own.
I bought this for my 5yo who watches Teen Titans at his grandmothers and is starting to love comics. It ...is so stupid. The stories have no point and just end abruptly? It literally makes no sense.
