I liked the book a lot. It gave me a greater appreciation for the author, who I already knew. It was well written and provides simple and practical anecdotes and advice to the reader. I didn't know to expect and was planning on reading a few pages to get an idea of the book. I wound up reading the whole thing.
I have never read such an easy to read book that leaves no stone unturned. This is truly a five star reader. I have read many books on communication, but this one was very clear and easy to understanding, it got right to the point and was very full in its content. I"m grateful for a book I can go back to review and it doesn't" take a week to read it. Because of Did I Say That, it has help me to watch the things I say and I have become a better listener and communicator. Finally!

According to this book, we place assumptions on people and often, they fail to us because our assumptions were not right.
From my perspective I believe we should be more careful with people in the sense of being understanding, but the author has a point in which the assumptions generate a gap in communication.
I liked the examples, they were right to the point and easy to understand. The ideas were presented clearly. I find that the only thing that can be improved is the formatting. An index would be great.
I knew this stuff but did not always adhere. I think it is best to adhere now
